See which projects are likely to get built

Most projects in a queue never get built. A signed interconnection agreement is the best sign that one will: the developer has made it through the grid operator’s studies and agreed to pay for the upgrades it needs.

We track where every project stands in its queue. 54% of planned solar in the seven major queues has a signed agreement, from 79% in MISO to 42% in PJM.

Find the developer behind every project

Four of the seven major queues don’t name a project’s developer. MISO lists the substation it connects to. ERCOT lists the company that filed, usually a project LLC like S&S Renewables, LLC.

We trace each project to the company building it, through interconnection agreements, FERC filings, state permits and developers’ own announcements. So far we’ve matched 3,321 planned projects to 410 developers.

See every developer's pipeline

Each developer gets a profile with every project we’ve tied to it: where it’s filing, how big each project is, how far along it is in the queue and when it expects to come online.

NextEra Energy has 105 planned solar projects in 21 states. 83% of that capacity has a signed interconnection agreement.

Know the day a project moves

We check every queue each day and the EIA’s survey of planned plants each month. When a project enters a queue, signs its interconnection agreement or starts construction, it shows up in your feed.

Follow a developer, a market or a technology, and get the changes by email every day or every week.

Built for the companies that build, fund and supply projects

The same data answers different questions, depending on where you sit.

Developers

See where competitors are filing, how big their projects are and how far along each one is. Spot the counties and markets getting crowded before you file.

  • Who else is building storage in my county?
  • Which competitors signed agreements this quarter?

Investors

Size a developer's pipeline before a deal, and see how much of it is likely to get built. Track a market's buildout from queue to construction.

  • How much of this developer's pipeline has an agreement?
  • How much solar will MISO add by 2029?

Equipment makers and service providers

Find projects that will soon buy panels, batteries, turbines, transformers or construction services, and the developer to call.

  • Which projects signed agreements in Texas this month?
  • Who's developing the biggest projects in PJM?

Get our data through an API

Everything on this page comes through our API: each project’s capacity, status, location, developer and interconnection agreement, updated every day. Pull it into your models, your CRM or your GIS. Or download any table as a CSV.
